Before & After - Mason's Bedroom & Basement Door

This coming October we will have lived in our house for 2 years.  When we bought our house we wanted something that was good enough to be lived in while we fixed it up.  Our house fits that bill, but often the endless projects get annoying and I go through phases where I do a lot, and then other times things just sit.  At this point, I think we have painted every room but one bathroom downstairs.  Mason's room was filled with boxes to the ceiling almost the entire first year.  I was so sick when I was pregnant, fixing his nursery included painting the walls and throwing the crib in.  He didn't even have a door knob until 2 days a go.

Luckily bedrooms are easy.  We ripped out the trim and replaced it.  Replaced the light fixture, textured the walls and painted everything, including the closet doors and inside the closet.  The other side of the room has a built in desk that I'm currently working on.
Note the Ikea dresser which Chris was less than thrilled to put together.  I was working at the time so he was a little perturbed I didn't just buy one that was already put together.  It would have only been slightly more money, and we were in a phase in life where time was more valuable.
Onto the next project, this is our back door coming out of the basement.  The people who lived here before had dogs that they just let live in the basement (the smell was awful) but they sure clawed at this door and the door knob hardly worked.  I finally cleaned out the mess of stuff that had landed in this spot since we moved in.  It was a easy project, just sanding down the door and painting it.  Oh and a quick swap of the door knob. Not the funnest before and after, but a total game changer.  Every time I finish something I think - why didn't I do that a year a go?

I have about 100 more before and after pictures, but I never seem to get around to posting.  Hopefully soon!
